1994
A 3D Animation company called Equinox Studios is started up in Malmö,
by Johan Steen. At this time working on the Amiga platform with Imagine and
Lightwave 3D.

1995-1997
In early 1995 Johan Steen moves to Gotheburg, and by that also
moving the company there and changes the name to Studio 42. During the coming years the
company grows and moves to bigger and faster computer systems and are producing 3D
graphics and animations for games, TV and video productions..

1998
This is the year where the company decides to start developing it's own
software for the 3D industry besides the animation production. Daniel Collin joins the
company as the head of the software development and during 1998 we releases quite a few
new software additions for Lightwave 3D; Sceneshop, Metagroove, Creature Creator and the
standalone software Soundwave 3D in a betaversion.
1999
Studio 42 is merging with another company called International Media Art
AB, and we form a new company together called FXRealm Studios AB.
With this the decision is made in the software area to move multiplatform to
support all major 3D systems with our software. The first thing was to make Creature
Creator available as a plugin for 3D Studio MAX, trueSpace, Maya and Softimage. Other than
this we also started working on our first full length 3D animated movie in house.
