FAQ for Creature Creator v1.5
Q: In Lightwave 5.6 or Insire 1.0 it say "Unable to create tab contol" and then
crashes, what do i do?
A: You will have to install a new version of lwpanels.p, it's included in the latest updates
from newtek, but you can also get it here.

Q: How do i get Creature Creator to work with Lightwave 6.0?
A: You need to edit your lwm3.cfg file at the line "PluginDirectory" so it points to your
plugindir, for example: PluginDirectory C:\Newtek\Plugins

Q: How do i get Creature Creator to work with Lightwave 6.5?
A: Due to the fact that there is a bug in Lightwave 6.5 we have made a workaround for it. You need to got to the download page and download the update. This may also help if you got problem with the 6.0 version.

Q: Will you release more bodyparts for Creature Creator?
A: Yes, we are constantly working on improving the part library. Sometimes we release updates for free that extends the library. Also we are working on diffrent theme packs that will be sold for a reasonable price.

Q: I was a user of version 1.1 and when I installed the update to version 1.5 I can't load any of my old projects. I get an alert that Creature Creator is unable to add objects.
A: There has been a change in the project files so it handles relative paths better. If you want to use your old v1.1 project files with the 1.5 version, use a normal text editor (notepad for example) and open the projectfile. The objects that are about to being loaded looks something like this:
\studio42\CreatureCreator\Objects\Human\Head\Male.cco
Change this so it looks like this:
\Head\Male.cco
This is due to the new path system that makes it possible to have other object directorys then just the standard one.

FAQ for Creature Creator v1.1
Q: I am using win95/98 and I can't add the plugin.
A: This is caused when you are have an old version installed of the OpenGL library. Make sure you have the latest version. It can be found at http://www.opengl.org

Q: When I enter my registration code, the plugin crashes?
A: This problem occured on some systems in earlier versions of Creature Creator. Download the latest v1.11b to have this fixed.

Q: Do you have a demoversion of Creature creator?
A: Yes, you can download it from our download page.

Q: Creature Creator crashes when I enter my registration key?
A: That can be caused by a mis-configuration in your lwm.cfg file. Probably because you have ended this line:
PluginDirectory C:\Newtek\Plugins\Modeler
with a
\. Dont't do that. Remove the '\' at the end and it will be correct.

Q: I am not able to select any objects or load project files.
A: Your modeler has a misconfiguration. Locate the PluginDirectory setting in the lwm.cfg file and make sure it points to the correct plugin directory. Normally that line will look like this:
PluginDirectory C:\Newtek\Plugins\Modeler

Q: On the Alpha version of Creature Creator v1.11 it crashes when I exit to the modeler.
A: Update your Creature Creator to v1.11a from our download page and this problem will disappear.

A: Download the latest v1.11b version of Creature Creator and this problem will be fixed.

Q: I keep getting a "fluffa error" when I start the plugin.
A: You are using an old version of Creature Creator and lwpanels.p. Go to our download page and get the latest Creature Creator update. Latest lwpanels.p can you get from Newteks ftp.

Q: Can Creature Creator models be brought into Modeler for adding detail and such? If so, do they come in as triangles or quads?
A: Yes, when you are happy with your model within Creature creator it will export it to an empty layer in modeler and you can continue working on it there if you like. The library we provides makes the objects come out as quads.

Q: How long will it take to recieve my plugin?
A: Ask your local dealer who carries Creature Creator about their delivery options. Check out your nearest FXRealm Studios Dealer, or you can order it directly from us online and have it shipped to you the same day.
