Originally we had planned to have the final release of Soundwave 1.0 released as a standalone application, but after lot's of demand of the people who bought the first commercially released version, Soundwave 0.8beta, we decided to change direction and make it as an integrated part of the major 3D Systems.
The first systems we will support with specific plugins are:
* Lightwave 3D
* 3D Studio MAX
* Maya NT
* trueSpace
* And if we get lot's of requests for a particular system we will consider it.
* A standalone version will probably be released of v1.0 as well in conjunction with the diffrent plugins.


As we don't want to rush this release, we are working closely with the studios that are soundwave betatesters to make sure v1.0 gets a rocksolid and stable product that contains all the whistles and extras you would want in a software like this, so we don't want to give an official release date yet.

Below and on the following sw3d pages is the website designed for the originally planned Standalone version of Soundwave, you can find most of what the new pluginversions will contain and feature here, but features will be added and maybe some will be discarded depending on the input we get from you, the users.

This revolutionary tool will change the way you look at  professional 3D surround sound authoring forever.

The film, video, television, specialeffect/CGI and multimedia/game creators gets a more and more demanding audience for every day that passes. The audio is a very important part of the viewer's experience. If the audio is not up to the task it doesn't matter how good the screenplay is, it will lack that total energetic experience a good audio track can provide.

Until now it has been tiresome and expensive to add good surround sound to movies and other productions. Soundwave 3D changes all that. Now is perfect 3D surround sound just a few mouse clicks away.

Select the soundeffects you want, attach them to the objects in the scene which you want to use the sounds on. And then let the computer render away so the sounds follows the objects nomatter how they move around relative to the camera and your virtual microphones and output wave files for all your channels. It doesn't get any easier than this.

Of course, for the perfectionist, there's inifinite with finetuning and settings you can change to get total control of all aspects of the final sound.

We have also thrown in a complete soundeditor inside Soundwave together with diffrent sound processing filters and an open plugin architecture which opens up a market for 3rd party utilities that can be used inside Soundwave 3D. screenshot1.gif (40414 bytes)

In our download section there will always be present public demos of Soundwave which we would appreciate if you tried out and then gave us suggesions of improvement and more features to ensure that the product gets as useful as possible.
